Location: Remote (Northeastern United States)
Caliber Infosolutions, Inc., headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, seeks a Product Specialist for a remote work-from-home position from anywhere within the Northeastern United States, responsible for analyzing the scientific data processing needs of our pharmaceutical/biotechnology clients and implementing computer systems solutions to address these issues using Caliber products. Specific duties will include: (i) managing product support for pharmaceutical/biotechnology clients; (ii) gathering and ensuring a thorough understanding of pharmaceutical/biotechnology customer requirements; (iii) documenting User Requirement Specifications (URS) in customizing products; (iv) mapping customers’ workflows in our products and training the end-users on how to use products; (v) analyzing, designing, testing, and developing software to meet the needs of pharmaceutical/biotechnology users; (vi) developing, managing, measuring, and reporting on key service-level metrics including average response time, adherence to SLAs and open issues; (vii) building installations and configurations per company standards; (viii) reproducing reported issues or test cases; (ix) recording the validation procedures and installing product qualification protocol and database maintenance plan for clients; and (x) assisting in project kickoff and project planning and executing User Acceptance Test and Site Acceptance Test.
This is a work-from-home position. The employee can work remotely (with appropriate telecommuting systems) from anywhere within the Northeastern United States but must be able and willing to travel domestically up to 3% to various unanticipated employer and client locations.
Must possess a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Computer Science, Information Systems or related degree plus three (3) years of experience in a computer systems analyst role.
Must know (from any completed university-level courses, seminars, workshops, or real-world hands-on experience): complete process and workflow knowledge of Laboratory Information Management System, Quality Management System and Batch Record Management; User Requirement Specifications (URS); software system testing procedures; User Acceptance Test/Site Acceptance Test; and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
